Problems with file permissions during playback

Afternoon.

I've done some tests using the eValid licenses, but here is my problem:

eValid records great but when it comes time to do a playback I get a file permission kind of error.

What am I doing wrong?

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for asking MFarley.

The "out of the box" setup for eValid the recordings and playbacks are all done to/from the installation directory.

The reason is that this is the ONE area on your PC where we know in advance that you have read/write permission.

In the long run this is NOT a pratical way to do things.

You probably want to put your recordings and playbacks in some working area.

Here is the documentation on setting up log files:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... ement.html

As you can see, you typically have a working folder for your project, and then some sub-folders for the test groups and the actual script and log files go into that area tagged by file names that use the test name.

The thinking is, that you have to have read/write permission here.

Sometimes you have to have "administrator" level access to set these up, but once you provide eValid with the appropriate permissions you should be good to go.
