Hiya.

Can I use eValid to speed up the download speeds on my web page?

Is this feasible using eValid?

Thanks

There's not much you can do if you can't control the page content MorreenT or the internet connection between the server and your machine.

The download performance you see at the client is affected by all of these factors:

Your machine speed

Speed (capacity/bandwidth) of your connection to your ISP.

Speed of the connection from your ISP to the server.

Speed of the server machine(s).

What you can do is figure out, with careful timings, how long components take to load and possibly make adjustments at the server side to enhance the client-side experience.

But if you really want to dig in on measuring timing, you might want to consider this "trick:

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=33281&p=49927#p49927

We say it is a "trick" because it takes advantage of the fact that during playback eValid remains an active browser and, once paused, can be used in the normal way.

Combined that with the fact that you EventLog is being generated all the time anyway, even with playback paused, you have a neat way to see what is REALLY going on inside your [AJAX] page.
