Can I use eValid to show me URL details for validation tests

Hello.

Can eValid give me the details of the URL that I'm currently viewing?

I want to validate certain features "on the fly" in my tests.

Great question, thanks for posting GeorgeS.

Yes, you can validate a number of parts of any URL you've landed on.

See this manual page:

You can validate the following:

The entire URL, assuming you know what it supposed to be.

The HTTP protocol, that part of the URL up to the ":" in the string.

The web server by the hostname and port of the current document.

Some selected subset of the URL...the first N characters for example

The manual page gives you some examples of how these commands are used.
