A very good question EllenZ.

The Same Origin Policy (SOP) is described here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-origin_policy

It is a security protocol that's been in place for browsers since the mid1990's.

The idea is to keep one browser from being able to sneak a peak at the contents of another website BESIDES the one you are looking at (that is, the one that your browser is pointed at).

Doing so would be a big no-no, for obvious security reasons.

eValid, being a browser on a equal plan with the Internet Explorer (IE) browser, behaves the same way.

We know this because eValid uses the same underlying browser technology that all browsers use; eValid is a browser with the difference that some of that technology is re-purposed for the needs of being a test engine.

Which we think it does pretty well!
