Can someone help me to decode the type of the data eValid uses?

Thanks for posting your question, DrJewell.

All variables in eValid scripts are strings.

In many cases (it depends on the command) the strings can contain single-character wild cares (?'s) or can incorporate variable length strings (*'s) as used in regular expressions.
