Hi.

There's been so much discussion about WebDriver, can you explain some more about how eValid relates to WebDriver?

Thanks

Thanks for posting your question, BrettD.

We believe there is significant kinship between eValid (which was first offered in 2000) and several other test automation systems:

(1) Watir which appeared in 2003 (led by Bret Pettichord);

(2) Selenium which appeared in 2004 (led by Jason Huggins);

(3) WebDriver, which first appeared in 2007 (led by Simon Stewart)

See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsNkcUq0veI GTAC 2011: Simon Stewart -- Web Driver

These three test systems "drove" the web browser through the COM desktop interface at first and then later added acces via the browser DOM interface.

By contrast eValid always drove web browser tests through the browser DOM interface.
