That is a very interesting question, because eValid does something a little different with
JavaScript than the underlying IE browser base does.
In IE, JavaScript errors are "eaten" in most cases: if the JavaScript has a serious problem the IE version of the interpreter suppresses any error reporting.
eValid, on the other hand, being a software testing and QA tool built in the principle of "full disclosure" of what actually happens, carefully logs when a JavaScript error is encountered. You'll see the message "Script error..." in the eValid EventLog file when this thing happens.
(We call it simply "Script error..." because it could be JavaScript or VBScript or ECMAScript...).
The way we see it, if your JavaScript has an error you have the right to know about it -- and eValid has a duty to report it because that's what it found!
