Thanks for posting. I'll try to answer all of your points.
* eValid EVAL licenses open up all of the functional test,
regression test, and server loading capability, but with
some capacity and size limits. The functionality activated
in these licenses has been found more than adequate to
determine eValid's applicablity and capability.
* eValid is a client-side engine that runs on your
desktop. XP ix good; W20o3S may be problematic. See:
http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... ility.html* eValid uses the same DLLs as IE6 or IE7 or IE8, and is not
an emulation but instead is an full and complete browser.
* eValid reports itself to servers the same as the IE installed
on your machine.
* Every kind of website is supported by the eValid browser/client,
but some kinds of objects that you view in a website are "opaque"
to eValid -- they appear as images.
The eValid PageMap will help you identify these:
http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... p.gui.htmlSuch objects have to be tested in Application Mode:
http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... .mode.html* eValid supports AJAX directly, and does NOT interfere with
the AJAX process because eValid playbacks are done directly
in the browser and do NOT involve the JavaScript engine.
* The standard eValid engine will run all of the normal languages
such as French or German or Italian. If you are running on
a DBCS (double byte character set) operating system, then
the eValid/I Internnational Edition will perform the same
functions in that context (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, etc.)
http://www.e-Valid.com/Promotion/Intern ... ition.htmlA script in standard version will run in eValid/I, but not the other
way around. eValid/I is not available on an EVAL basis, but we
can make it available with a trial revenue key if you necessary.
