Yes they can, as long as they are not both recording into the same
script file.

In script development, this independence of operation between two eValid copies both in record mode can be very valuable. We call it "shadow recording".

We have used this method ourselves to record a script that requires desktop mode, but for which a login process prevents getting correct recording values. eValid #1 records the login and brings up a desktop page. eValid #2 separately records from the desktop page that #2 evoked, so that all of the page identification parameters are captured in #2's script. Afterwards, we graft the #2 script onto the #1 script so the #1' script captures the entire sequence.

We've done the same kind of thing with AJAX applications that throw subwindows that eValid can't know about (with the correct parameters), and in those cases the "shadow recording" captures details that can be inserted into the original recording.
