We wanted eValid to be used by everyone in a product development context -- not just high-powered (and expensive) programmers. So we never intended the langauge into which eValid records facts to be taken as a programming language. And it's not that. Not at all.
Instead, what you have is [in programming and software engineering terms] a robust functional language that is easy to read and easy to modify. It has a simple syntax, very little clutter, and is compact and easy to modify.
Most of our users are enthusiatic about how traightforward eValid is to use, and how efficient and effective tests can be.
The script language is part of the solution -- we don't want it to be part of the problem!
