Can you tell me what kind of browser rendering engine that eValid uses? Is it IE 6 or IE 7 or IE 8 or something else?

eValid is based on use (actually, re-use) of the DLLs for the IE browser that is installed on your machine.

That means that eValid "pretends" to be IE5.5, IE 6, IE 7, or IE 8 if you have that particular version of IE installed.

There are other versions of eValid being devoped -- notably for FireFox and Chrome -- but these have not been released yet.

Also, eValid for Windows based on IE has a neat feature that allows the user to set the user agent string to any value at all. In effect, this feature lets eValid emulate ANY browser at all.

Thanks for asking...appreciate the question!
