Recording brower videos

Postby Moe369 » Mon May 26, 2008 4:45 pm

I have been learning the software and writing some test cases. This
software captures and records live video so many of the test cases are
observations on such things as video quality and time. Although all in a
Web browser not many are going to work for any kind of regression
testing. I will get to some administrative and configuration functions
later.

That is when I will try evalid.

Thanks for posting.

Yes, video is one of the problem areas because the 1 msec
internal timer resolution is never quite accurate enough
to intercept a feed at the same instant. What we suggest
is to validate on the start or the end of a video playback.
We have had some success with using keyboard manipulation
of the slider bars...the drag/drop also will work...to
select points in a playback.

We run regression tests on MyTube stuff, but we generally
only validate at the end...to confirm arrival at the end
page and this works well.
