Yes, that would be entirely fair.
eValid is built using the same DLLs that IE uses. So whatever version of IE you have on your machine, that is the one that eValid is a derivative of.
There are some small differences between IE and eValid that are worth mentioning, however.
(1) Some of the options that you may be used to seeing on IE are shown in eValid in a different location, but all the required functions are present.
(2) You have direct access to the current browser cache from one of eValid's pulldowns on the product face.
(3) JavaScript error correction is turned off, so that any JavaScript errors that are detected by the browser show up as a small yellow "caution" icon on the browser face (lower left corner), and they also product a "...script error..." message in the playback EventLog. This is done because eValid is a testing tool and out belief is that the tester should know when there has been a JavaScript error.
