What can eValid tell me about rendering errors? I want
my pages to look alike on every kind of browser.
Good morning LFoster and welcome to our forum.
That is a very good question.
While eValid can do a lot of different kinds of testing,
including being able to imitate ANY browser in terms of
generating requests from the server, the current limitation
of eValid is that it works as an IE clone only.
What you seem to be asking is, does the page appear the
same on different browsers and so far as we know the only
way to do that check 100% is to actually run the different browser.
But what you might try is to see how eValid renders the
different HTML that's sent by the server as it appears
according to the IE rendering. We have found that many
rendering discrepancies can be seen quite well by looking
at the IE-rendered version of the page, using the HTML version
intended for a different browser.
