Someone just told that Selenium could not validate the text on a "tool tip"
Can eValid do that?
Thanks
Thanks for asking.
Yes, eValid can do this using the structural testing resources that are included with the eValid product.
Here is a summary of those resources:
http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... urces.html The basic approach is find the DOM element that has the roll-over sensitivity and then validate the content of the popup message.
This works because the text in a roll-over-this object shows inside the DOM element and eValid can validate the content to match what you expect.
You can find the specific sourceIndex using an IndexFind or IndexFindElementEx command, as described here:
http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... ement.html http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... nt.ex.html Then, you can issue a "mouse over" command in the IndexElementEvent commands:
http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... event.htmlYou can confirm that the tool tip shows using a screenshot... or...simply confirm the text in the DOM element matches what you expect.
