Afternoon:

I need to find a way to locate the capacity of my server

Do you have a simple way to to this?

Thanks for posting PVirgo.

The easiest way to estimate server capacity is to run a linear ramp of browser users (BUs) over time and measure the response time for a known task from the client side, that is, from within the eValid browser.

If the load grows linearly, what you'll be looking for is when the response time starts to level off, indicating that your server has hit its capacity.

Here is an example experiment that we did that illustrates this:

The green line in the chart shows the total number of simtaneous BUs (users) running at one time...in a linear growth pattern from 0 to 1,000 BUs.

In this particular application, saturation happens [approximately] when the response times start to leve off...in this case at about 750 BUs.

For this example script playback, and for that single-machine server, you can have confidence that there'll be no performance degradation at and below 750 simultaneous users.
