Does eValid have a way to indicate if a test passes or fails

Postby GCoffey » Fri Jul 08, 2016 11:13 am

Afternoon.

Does eValid have a way to signal that a monitoring test was or wasn't successful?

Thanks

Good question thanks for posting GCoffey.

The environment in which eValid executes a monitoring test often needs to know "what happened" during tes execution.

eValid uses an "exit code" that is the composition of a number of signals that indicate operation matters.

You can see the error/exit codes here:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... codes.html

Note that each bit of a decimal number is used to indicate a good/bad result for each of several different factors.

The bits are set in the error/exit code (the "return code") before exit, so in effect the error code is the SUM of the various bits.

There can be several error/exit conditions.
