The future of Software Testing

Postby RFortier » Tue Sep 13, 2016 8:19 am

Morning.

I have a tough question for you guys:

Where to you see software testing going in the future?

I mean, eValid seems to have fully solved questions of automated GUI testing, but what else is there?

Thanks.

Interesting question RFortier.

The is indeed a "tough" question.

The best we can do is point to the main technical conference that concerns software engineer, the ICSE series.

Here is a link to the main page for ICSE:

http://www.icse-conferences.org/

That conference, among all of the ACM/IEEE conferences, is the one where you'll find the latest thinking about software testing topic.

As a second source, please check out this webinar on current trends:

"Software Testing: A Research Travelogue", by Alessandro Orso, Gregg Rothermel, & Willem Visser

The link for this webinar is:

Hope this is helpful.
