Hiya.

How are eValid log-files organized?

It would help me in case I need to take them apart for my applications I test.

Thanks

Great post CollenT.

The eValid logfile is described here:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... rmats.html

There really is only ONE log file...all of the other log-files that you see in the eValid system documentation are always SUBSETS of the event log, as you can see illustrated here:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... /view.html

The files are intended to be used for post-test, outside-eValid processing in this way:

Pure SCII/Text file.

Left adjusted.

Tab delimited [this makes it easy to import the files to a spread sheet or to a database].

"-" is used if a field does not have a value.

This device preserves the logical order of the fields in the log file if you are performing post-playback processing.

Please contact us if you like more details.
