Discussion of the technology underlying the eValid solution.

Does eValid deal with desktop apps through a web app

Good Afternoon.

eValid can test web applications, but what about a web application that interacts with a regular desktop application?

I didn't see any details on this subject, can you provide an answer to this.

Thanks

Fair question LizzyR.

Please note that eValid IS a regular desktop application -- it is actually a browser that test enabled -- so eValid is a good example of doing this.

When NOT in "browser mode" the eValid product can still test what is on the desktop using what we call "Desktop Mode" to distinguish it from "Web Application Mode").

Here is the basic manual page on this:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... .mode.html

Note that mixed-mode tests ARE possible: eValid is programmed to know the difference and at playback time the switch is smooth and invisible.
