Is eValid able to update a URL string

Postby LNelson » Wed Feb 06, 2019 11:15 am

Hello.

Can eValid update the contents of a URL string "on the fly"?

Please tell me how you do this?

Thanks

Interesting question LNelson, thanks for posting.

Please see this page for a starting point:

What this says is, that you can validate/examine the particulars of a URL within the DOM using built-in commands.

What this ALSO says is, given that you know the index of the URL in the current page -- which you can find with an IndexFindElement[Ex] command -- then you can alter that URL.

You have to use external forces -- a shell command or separate script of some kind -- to do the actual editing, but you can read out the current value, make modifications, and then stuff the new URL string into the page.

Good luck and let us know if you encounter any problems.
