Can I operate eValid without using the browser

Indeed, eValid has this kind of feature: it is called a "dashboard".

The dashboard is eValid-state dependent: not all buttons are available to you depending on what eValid is doing.

For example, if you are doing a recording the playback button is shaded out; it comes back up to full focus when you stop the recording.
