Where does eValid stand when it comes to AI

Postby BCoffey » Mon Oct 09, 2023 11:06 am

Hi.

We hear all this talk these days about expert systems and artificial intelligence (AI) and I've even played around some with ChatGPT and it's like.

Where does eValid fit into this technology?

Thanks

Thanks for asking, BCoffey.

The other day we were talking to a undergraduate student who was studying AI and asked the question: "How do you know to trust an AI system?"

The response was a blank stare.

After a minute or two, he said "I guess it's a matter of trust."

Our response was that if you can solve THIS problem -- establishing trust in an AI system in an objective way -- you'll get a Nobel prize ... or even two!

This is a deep, deep question which has many ramifications, including philosophical and even eschatological, as well as mathematical and some epistemological aspects.

For the present let us simply say: "this is above our pay grade -- but we're working on it."
