Looking at some recent posts, my question is, does the eValid "no frills" approach actually work? What do customers say?

We are not 100% clear on what you mean by "no frills" but we take that to refer to the no-nonsense, WYSIWYG, straightforward nature of the eValid web application testing solution. And, thanks for the compliment!

In a lot of cases, our customer are too busy creating and running tests -- getting value from eValid the way it was supposed to be used -- to bother us with questions or comments. That is a good sign, we believe, because at the end of the day the measure of any product is whether it is used.

But if survey customers we find some fairly significant data points. We have one commercial monitoring firm that has been running complex eValid tests in "monitoring mode" (meaning, many closely spaced tests with specific timing outcomes) for over five years. Another company in the eValid user community, which is also doing internal availablity monitoring, appears to be running several million eValid playbacks per month.

We have customers who have 1,000-BU load tests that they run regularly, to shake down their server farms. We also have run tests ourselves for customers when the BU count is many 1,000's. So that mode appears to be doing OK.

So, we think it is fair to say that the eValid approach really works!
