Discussion of the technology underlying the eValid solution.

What features does the software test have?

Postby 1qvd » Tue Jan 25, 2011 4:12 pm

Dear eValid,

We specialise in embedded software with Bluetooth technology and we are currently looking for a new Software test tool solution to automated Unit / Module / Integration Testing of Embedded Software (C, C++, Java).

After some research on the internet I came across your web page and I am very interested in your software tools but I still have a few questions.

- Which product can you offer us?

- What features does the software test have?

- How high are the licenses costs?

- Which support solutions are available?

- How high are the training costs?

I look forward to hear from you soon.

The main product that I think will be applicable here is our eValid web-browser enabled test system.

You didn't say so, but I suspect that when you develop your embedded applications you probalby "test drive" various of the components from an HTML-based page... I know that many device developers do this, because it is easier and more visible that working only with hardware instrumentation.

Given that you have an HTML interface, eValid can drive your software through that interface and validate results that show up there. In effect that interface becomes the "test bed" that eValid can then access to help you complete you validation and verification work.

eValid is a fully supported Windows platform product and licenses are in the $3K to $8K range depending on how much of the eValid suite you install. For functional testing alone you would be at the lower range.

Most technical support is done via email and on our forum but we very often use web meetings to resolve difficult issues. Training is ususally not needed, because eValid is very intuitive and very well documented.
