Synchronise the BUs

Postby rmiller » Fri Jan 28, 2011 1:07 pm

Since eValid BU's are separate processes, is there a way to synchronise the activity of a chosen subset of BUs within a run (not just at the start of a script), and can this be performed conditionally?

That is a very good question.

To synchronize between N BUs in a load test scenario, they have to be in some kind of communication, and the most common way to do this is to have them synchronize on a local page, using eValid commands to insert RUN or STOP into a DOM value, and then using the special evalid "SyncOnSelectedObjProperty" or "SyncNotOnSelectedObjProperty" commands.

One BU has to be "boss" and do the right allocation value into this shared page.

However, when you ask if that can be done conditionally, you have moved over to the realme of the eValid Programmatic Interface (EPI), which is where most of the programmability issues are handled easily:

The eValid Programmatic Interface (EPI) is described in detail in this this introductory page:
