When eValid development began, in the early 2000's, IE was the dominant browser. And today, while not at the 90% level it still is a very stable, very wide spread product. More importantly, like it or not, IE has effectively set the standard for how JavaScript is done, among many other lesser standard browsing features.

We have found, with experiments done in-house, that the SetUserAgent command, which lets eValid imitate ANY browser, does a very good job of helping assure cross-browser compatibility.

We are working on a playback only version of eValid for Chrome and FireFix but we don't have any details about when those would be available.
