Yes, here is an example done on the Gmail system

One thing that is important to note is that when the page is actually created the same structural relationships generally exist between elements.
That is, if you need to click at a location that is sourceIndex + 3, then that location is constant even when the rest of the content fails.
(This is a location offset that is dictates the page structure.)
This is due to the the programmatic nature of the page generator.
The only downside is that if the page generator algorithm changes then you may need to adjust that constant offset value.
