How does eValid compare to some APM systems in the field

Applying eValid to Rich Internet Application (RIA) Performance Monitoring.

How does eValid compare to some APM systems in the field

Postby SamuelH » Thu Jan 25, 2018 9:14 am

Good Morning.

Does eValid have compatibility with some popular APM (Application Performance Monitoring) systems?

How does that work?

Thanks

Thanks for asking SamuelH.

One thing that we have done with eValid is to "avoid entangling alliances" and by that we mean that we try to avoid building in features that favor one particular encapsulating system over another.

After all, in the world of APM who is really going to end up the big winner.

The formats and data requirements are all over the place.

We think it is better to have a nice, clean interface that users of ANY system can incorporate.

That interface includes:

(1) The command line interface, described here:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... rface.html

This interface lets the user run eValid tests, and create eValid Logfiles, in a way that lets them be interfaced into any system.

(2) The SaveRecord command, described in the link below, that emits internal perform and capacity data into an ASCII (text) file that can be used in a wide range:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... ecord.html

The common thread is: separate the work of running a test and the work of reporting on the results of the test.

The common interface is the ASCII file in the Windows operating system.

In the long run this is the best way to marry a powerful test system with powerful reporting systems.
